No. Patients can self-refer. If you prefer, your oncologist or family doctor can forward a referral directly to our clinic, but it is not required to see our team.
Your first visit includes a detailed review of your medical history, current symptoms, treatment plan, and personal goals. We’ll walk through your concerns, answer questions, and create a tailored support plan that complements your oncology care.
No. RISE Oncology Clinic works with your oncology team—not instead of them. We provide added support, symptom management, lifestyle guidance, and recovery planning to help you navigate treatment more confidently.

Absolutely. We encourage loved ones to join if it helps you feel supported. Many patients find it helpful to have a partner or family member with them to listen, take notes, or ask questions.

We strive to keep wait times low. Most patients can be seen within a few days to one week, depending on scheduling needs. Urgent concerns are prioritized whenever possible.

Yes. RISE provides secure virtual care for patients who prefer to meet from home or live outside Calgary. Virtual appointments include the same level of detail, guidance, and support as in-clinic visits.
